I am a small businessperson doing home renovations and lead abatement. I have been using CareerLink for about two years. About 1-1/2 years ago, I came into the McKeesport CareerLink office to discuss my employment needs with a staff person.
I now have a "CareerLink crew" that is very productive. The lead, skilled employees were all found on the CareerLink website. I am achieving my business objectives; and I am on target with my five-year business plan. While nothing is perfect, I find that I am successful in finding qualified applicants over the CareerLink website.
In particular, the applicants who are referred directly from a CareerLink staff person have a very high percentage of success. Periodically a CareerLink staff person will call to say that they have worked with a candidate who has the skills that I am seeking. I am more receptive to those applicants because I know that someone has taken the time to match this particular person with my needs.
