Accidents happen. And for Troy Harris, a fateful trip to lunch six years ago proved to be the best thing to ever happen to his company - Genesis Environmental. He was walking in downtown McKeesport when he saw the CareerLink office. He decided to check it out.
Harris' line of work isn't glamorous - Genesis Environmental handles and disposes of medical waste. It's a dirty job and most people don't want to do it, he says. Finding quality employees who are eager to train has always been a major hurdle for Genesis Environmental. But with the discovery of CareerLink, Harris received about 15 applications a day from which he gleaned 90 percent of his staff.
