Personal Employment Guide and Other ServicesPersonal Employment Guide (PEG)The Personal Employment Guide (short name "PEG") is an innovation in services for job seekers. PEG is a staff-driven computer program that provides an initial assessment of a job seeker's needs and preferences to enable him or her to better utilize the PA CareerLink's services. The interactive interview format results in a written individualized Personal Employment Guide document. Exclusive to the Pittsburgh/Allegheny County PA CareerLink locations, the PEG document details tips and referrals based upon the answers provided during the interview. At the conclusion of the PEG interview, the PA CareerLink employment professional will discuss the recommendations with you and will escort you to the Career Resource Center to begin job searching, using your PEG as your "roadmap" to a new job. Workshops PA CareerLink offers a number of workshops that will assist you in finding the job that is right for you. There are workshops available weekly on interviewing skills, resume writing and cover letters, transferable skills, and more. Take a look at our upcoming events schedule to find out what is going on at a center near you!
